Heron Bros Ltd. have introduced a range of Green House Gas (GHG) emission reduction measures that deal with scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, including biomass heating, responsible procurement and the phasing out of diesel and petrol cars, which will eventually lead to a fully electric fleet.

Another key priority of the company is to implement circular construction principles. The company also works towards securing wider socio-economic and environmental benefits for the communities they work in, by supporting education and training, physical and mental wellbeing, protecting the environment and encouraging suppliers to operate responsibly.

To create a fair division of benefits to the communities they work in, they have developed a Community Support Request application process, resulting in community links being created through charity work, sponsorship, and voluntary work.
