29 January 2016

As we turn our attention to the 2016 VIBES Awards, are thoughts are once again on the success of the 2015 awards. With this in mind, we felt it only fair to have one final celebration for all those involved in sharing good VIBES in 2015.

With this week also celebrating another great Scottish event, the life of Burns, we donned our tartan while raising a dram or two to the great Baird and indeed our VIBES 2015 winners at a special celebration Burns Supper.

Held in the grand surroundings of Glasgow’s City Chambers, guests, sponsors and partners joined together to celebrate the hard working organisations that continue to put sustainability at the heart of their business operations.

This was really demonstrated by last year’s inspirational winners who shared their stories with guests. From finding revolutionary ways to transport Scotland’s shellfish, to developing clever methods that deliver affordable heat to alleviate fuel poverty throughout Aberdeen; the ethos was very much on how small changes can result in more efficient use of resources as well as strengthening operations.

With toasts to the winners done, there remained only one more thing to address – the haggis!  And what a toast it was with 12 year old Ayden Travers leading the way. Though the entertainment didn’t end there with one of our 2015 winner’s incorporating a song into his thanks to the sponsors.

As the 2015 Awards draw to a close we’re very much looking forward to seeing what the 17th year of the VIBES Awards brings. Over the coming weeks we’ll be working closely with our 2015 winners and partners and would like to invite any business interested in hearing more to get in touch – we promise we won’t make you sing!
