The 2015 VIBES Awards may be well underway but Scotland’s businesses are being given another opportunity to win one of our bespoke glass awards at this year’s ceremony through our exciting Ripple Effect Challenge.

The challenge is part of our continued support of WaterAid which transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation.

The Ripple Effect Challenge is tasking Scottish businesses to get creative in order to raise money for international water projects throughout some of the world’s poorest countries.

Last year’s entries saw everything from numerous sporting pursuits, a quiz and even a bungee jump for the more adventurous participants. VIBES’ Jane Bond even took to the high seas as part of a team entry with Jacobs, which saw them participate in a sponsored sail around Scotland.

This year we’re encouraging businesses to get their creative thinking caps on, have some fun and most importantly raise funds for an important cause which last year reached 2.1m people with safe water, 3.1m people with sanitation and an estimated 4.1m people with hygiene promotion. Just £15 can give one person access to safe water and this year VIBES is hoping to raise over £10,000 to support global projects in some of the most disadvantaged areas.

The Ripple Effect challenge is a fantastic team building opportunity or a fun way to challenge yourself if you want to enter as solo participant. We’re looking for entries from a range of sectors and from companies both large and small.

The winning entry will be awarded for their creativeness and fundraising efforts and will have their inventiveness recognised at the VIBES Awards ceremony in Edinburgh on 26th November. The team’s commitment to issues facing the wider world will also be honoured by the presentation of a uniquely designed VIBES 2015 glass trophy to team representatives.

If your business is up for the challenge, then please drop us a note to register your interest for an application form and fundraising pack at vibes@sepa.org.uk.

Completed VIBES Awards Ripple Effect entry forms must be submitted no later than 5pm 20th November 2015.
